I Have Nothing to Say > why, why, why, & why

A riff on the poem “Southern Gothic” by Natasha Tretheway that uses one instance of “why” from every book of poetry I own. I find I am drawn to poetry that asks a lot of questions without providing many answers. I don’t trust poets or authors who think they have answers, I certainly don’t. While working on this piece, I discovered I owned one book of poetry that never asked a question. I donated it to the library.
