I Have Nothing to Say > I Have Nothing to Say

One of the artists who has most influenced my work is the composer/poet/artist John Cage. I’ve always been drawn to one of his more famous quotes from his Lecture on Nothing, “I have nothing to say and I am saying it and that is poetry.” As this series of videos developed, it was clear to me that I had to do something with those words. I decided to make a remix using the type of marginalia that often ends up in the books of poetry I own.
